I've never heard the words "good" and "haggis" in the same sentence before... Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn

English Lit and French... I used to love it but I guess everything sort of becomes a drag after a while, haha. That's so specific, do you have to specialise or do you just need a huge knowledge of everything? lol. I guess it means you have a sort of career lined up though, whereas i'm going to be a penniless writer in a very dull, unromantic way...

Hey, you can do a lot with English and French lit! Plus it's a cool conversation starter. I wouldn't say I have a career lined up, but I'll be specializing in fashion and textiles, so we'll see . Are you headed to the USA anytime soon?

Actually, I am probably visiting a friend in NY in July, and possibly also going to Boston, the Carolinas, Florida and LA...so in short yes. But money dependant... and I can't believe you just added Arthur's Seat stuff, that is so crazy, I see it every day, I used to live at the bottom. I always find it so weird when people know Edinburgh...

Hey Kat, I was wondering if you might want to do a full-city write-up for Venus Zine. I am editor of their City Guides section (https://venuszine.com/art_and_culture/travel) and I noticed you've been a bunch of cool places. email me at cityguide-at-venuszine-dot-com

Haha don't worry about it, I can definitely deal with not being top user! Plus I have exams at the minute so not so much time... so anyway what do you 'do' with your life?

Hey, so on the back of several of my friends telling me it's way too touristy and there's nothing authentic left I'd kind of written off Prague...but you make it sound pretty cool, so are you just good at finding places or is it somewhere I should visit (I graduate soon and want to go travelling)?

On Mon Mar 30, 2009 | Log in or Sign Up to reply.

ah yes...the key is to explore the "outskirts" of Prague...most of the areas I mention are within that category...i studied abroad there, most of these places are recommended by Czechs or in less touristy areas...your only challenge will be language, as unfortunately a lot of Czechs don't speak english...but don't pass it up if you can! if anything, you will drink very cheaply in Prague...beer costs about $1 if you know where to look! let me know if i can help you any more, and let me know where you end up also!
