Looks like Tokyo, but not in a good way.
I personally found Times Square to be too flashy, overwhelming, and a tourist hellhole. When I was a kid and used to watch TRL with Carson Daly in Times Square I thought it seemed sooooo cool and exciting. Finally I visited in my early 20s and I really hated it. It's overcrowded like Gaza. The only difference between Times Square and Gaza is that you are allowed to leave Times Square. If you HAVE to go to Times Square, at least visit the M&M superstore so you can buy $50 worth of M&Ms, binge on them, then feel like shit later.

Traffic jams, good food, way too much shopping
The biggest malls in Lebanon are all located here. Like ABC Mall and Citymall. These malls are enormous, equipped with movie theaters too! There is also excellent food to be found in this part of town.

The best breakfast place in all of San Francisco
I ordered a full stack of blueberry pancakes. 4 enormous fluffy pancakes came out so soft and tasty. I couldn't even finish them all. They only cost like $6.75 too! My friend had amazing French toast with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. My other friend had a delicious omelette with lots of fresh veggies. Definitely go here!!!!
P.S.
They keep their xmas decorations up all year round.

Classic New York City
It takes up most of Manhattan so I am sure you won't miss it. Be sure to visit John Lennon's memorial site at Central Park West entrance. Great for picnics, walks, naps, running, etc.

One of the best restaurants in the city
Vegetarian Ginger has a mouthwatering menu and is situated in a perfect area for people-watching. My favorite things on the menu are the pineapple and soy rice dish and the mango rice dish. Try their tasty appetizers too such as fried wontons and samosas.

Don't be a loser who never leaves Manhattan
Now we all now Manhattan is wonderful, but everyone forgets about Brooklyn! I like Brooklyn more than Manhattan, especially the downtown area. The best restaurants are HERE! And they're affordable and not overpriced like most Manhattan restaurants.

18 miles of books is a dream come true!!
You will feel like you are in the enormous library from Beauty and the Beast. The book selection is fabulous. I bought a very old, leather-bound copy of Anna Karenina. I also spent about 4 hours in Strand that day.

Definitely visit, even if you don't go inside
I like Notre Dame for its historical significance and its art and architecture. Some people go inside to pray and light candles. Whatever floats your boat. But definitely visit it! Don't get too scared by the gargoyles.

For hip students and bohemians
Great nightlife, food, bars, and vibe. This is where all the students live and they know how to keep it alive. Get off at Metro Stop St. Michel on Line 4 to be in the center of it all.

fun and culturally diverse
Le Marais is known to most as the Jewish quarter, and that's why you need to go there to eat some incredible falafel! It also has great shopping and just beautiful like all Parisian neighborhoods. You MUST try a macaron from one the bakeries. My favorite flavor is pistachio.

Went once, never going back
There are MUCH better places in LA. Downtown is kind of a shit hole.

Beautiful...that's it
Beverly Hills is stunning and it's fun to drive around and be in awe of the gorgeous homes and palm trees. Other than that there isn't that much to do unless you have a shit ton of money to spend, then I guess you can go hang out at the Louis Vuitton on Rodeo Drive. There are a few good restaurants in Beverly Hills. Other than that... I wouldn't spend more than a few hours in Beverly Hills if you are new to the LA area. Just go so that you can say you saw it.

Absolutely delicious!
The first time I went to this place it was in the mid-afternoon to share a dessert with a friend. We got the molten lava chocolate cake. Needless to say, it was orgasmic. The second time I went was for lunch and I had a veggie wrap and my friend had a really good salad. Food is fresh and flavor. The decoration is very charming. Sit outside if the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is on a lovely terrace patio.

Delicious for everyone, not just vegans! :)
I am a vegan and I have been to this place a few times with nonvegan friends and we all love it. Food is fresh, organic, and healthy. Try the pancakes for breakfast or a veggie burger for lunch. For dinner try their amazing pad thai noodles.

Good eats, cool vibe
Los Feliz is very artsy and hipster, and not in a douchey way. All the restaurants there rock!

Shopping for all tastes
This is an incredible shopping area. The 5 story Nordstroms, the 3 story H&M, the oversized everything will make sure you don't get bored with your shopping options. You will literally shop till you drop. The stores are enormous and there are so many of them. Tourists and locals alike love shopping here because IT ROCKS!

Puts all other ice cream parlors to shame
The ice cream in this place is so orgasmic that the line is usually out the door and down around the corner. You'd think people were standing in line to see Harry Potter or something. This place is family owned and they make all their ice creams with organic ingredients. My favorite flavors are Salted Caramel, Coffee Toffee, Ricanelas (cinnamon with snickerdoodles), Brown Butter Pecan, Malted Vanilla with Peanut Brittle and Milk Chocolate Pieces, Brown Sugar with Ginger Caramel Swirl, and Cookies and Cream.

Never gets old
I have been to this park many times and each time I love it more and more. It is in a gorgeous area and everyone there is cool and laid back. The best thing to do is get some ice cream from Bi-rite (across the street) and take it to Dolores Park with your best friends on a summer day.

Swanky 1920s Lounge
The drinks are a little pricey but the good news is that there is no cover. This is no place for dancing and dry humping; this is a swanky 1920s lounge with a dress code. They won't let you in if you are wearing jeans or casual shoes. So look hott, go inside, and feel like you've been transported back to the flapper era.

Everything that happens in Berkeley happens on Telegraph. If it's your first time in Berkeley I would recommend spending most of the day here.

Great sushi, mediocre service
The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced, but the waiters ignored us once they gave us our food. We had to fight for their attention when our drinks needed refills and when we were ready for our bill.

My favorite museum in Paris
Although the Louvre is interesting and a must-see, I prefer more contemporary, less religious art. It's amazing to see Monet's water lillies and Van Gogh's Starry Night in front of your own eyes. Admission is cheap. If you are a student bring your ID for a discount. When I lived in Paris in 2008 admission was free on Wednesday afternoons, you might want to check if this is still the case.

Not a tourist trap!
Though it might seem like a tourist trap, this is actually one of the best museums in the world. If you are short on cash, you can get a student discount, especially if you are an art student living in Paris. Or go in Fridays after 6 pm for free. Make sure to get off at metro stop Palais Royale Musee Du Louvre on Line 1 so you don't have to wait in that super long line outside.

Fun for some but not for all
I personally enjoyed the long hike up the mountain. It was beautiful and energizing. At the top of the mountain a bunch of wild monkeys who seem aggravated by all the humans were there for us to observe. They seemed slightly vicious and I was scared one would bite me. So next time, I would hike up Mt. Arashiyama but turn back around once I reach the top.

Not your typical Cinderella castle
Before I visited Nijo Castle, I was a big dumb ignoranus who imagined castles to look like Buckingham Palace. How silly! Nijo Castle is beautiful and makes you feel like you were part of the Tokugawa Shogunate. This is definitely a MUST-SEE in Kyoto.

Totally agree with you about Tokyo...just noticed that you loved Nijo-jo too! It was so unexpectedly awesome, I couldn't believe more people didn't tell me to go there.
Hi! I saw that you hated the Ueno Park Zoo, haha. Just updated my review to clarify my recommendation. Thanks!
Hey! You know it's weird, because I visited the zoo in November 2007 and I had so much fun there and recommended it to all my friends. But in recent times I have become more aware of animal rights and animal suffering, so in retrospect I see how depressing the zoo really is. I look back at my pictures and see the lack of space the animals had and see all those people pointing and taking pictures of them and just become anti-zoos in general. Other than that every place in Tokyo is amazing. :)
