I feel like Queen West started out with an alternative feel, but is continuously getting more saturated with the mainstream. Meh. A decent selection of boutiques both grungy and high(ish) end. Restaurants are kinda whatever.

There's a pretty evident art vibe, which turns to starving artist, to just starving the more west you go.

The heart of downtown Toronto, beats along Queen St. It is the quintessential street when shopping for the latest, greatest and most outgrageous fashions. Historically, it has been a hub of retail development and has changed over the years from garment, related shops, textile supliers and independent fashion retailers; to brand name stores like, Guess, MAC, Nike, Adidas, Zara, you name it, Queen St.'s got it!

Queen Street runs East West, and travels across the city through many diverse neighbourhoods. When people talk about shopping on Queen they are refering to the areas between Yonge St. (to the East and somewhere past Ossington, but a little less harder to pinpoint as development is moving that way; to the West!
