literally that is the favored form of exercise at vondel park.
This park is right next to one of the hostels I stayed in when I was in Amsterdam. I'd suggest getting some food and eating here for lunch, great people-watching place! Sometimes they have free concerts during the summer too. You might want to research on that on the Amsterdam tourism site. When I went, it was a little muddy and there was construction going on by one of the entrances but it was still nice. Very short walk from the good leidseplein bars!

The Vondelpark is a huge green space within city limits that's packed with spots to lounge, snack stands, and bicycle trails. In addition to spotting tourists toking up, there's a nice variety of wildlife, like swans. But the buzz lately isn't that this is a tranquil place to hang out in the city; it's that the local government just made it legal to have public sex in the Vondelpark. I don't know if it's going to come to pass, but it should make your Sunday stroll more eventful.
