While living in Europe, I ate at many Turkish kebab shops. The meals are cheap, they fill you up, and they are perfect for students on the go. Turkuaz in Florence was one of my favorite kebab/falafel shops. It's a ton of food at a great price. Unlike some kebabs, which can be greasy, Turkuaz used fresh, healthy ingredients. You can choose from many toppings options and craft your perfect sandwich. They have vegetarian options and a choice between chicken or beef. They give you a punch card on your first visit so if you're there for a few weeks, you'll eventually earn a free meal.
