tigeorges is the fucking bomb. other than the obvious positioning of a haitian chicken restaurant in the middle of historic filipinotown, the food is great. i love to get the bangin $8 lunch that is more than you can handle. i think it closes at like 5, so lunch is thing. a real gem of the east side here. familiar food, but better. definitely the best haitian food in the HF. no question!

Alright, I hate chicken. But this, THIS was one of the most delicious meals I have ever consumed.

I wandered in one night (evening?) on my way to Pehrspace nearby. The show I saw at Pehrspace was good, but largely blocked out in my memory by the meal I enjoyed at TiGeorges'. I had The Island Combo for a complete Haitian experience. The plantains were rich, the rice and beans were moist, and the chicken was tender and full of flavor. I enjoyed it like I'd never enjoyed chicken before.
