Worth it »
I wrote this shop off immediately because it is always packed with students and tourists. In downtown Florence that can often signal a less than authentic/quality place.
When I finally got dragged in there I realized The Oil Shoppe is actually totally worth the long line and I suppose the reason most of the students are in there is because the price is right. Good taste and good price.

Sandwiches good. You eat them. »
Delicious sandwiches, generous but not excessive portions. This was my go-to lunch spot when I was in Florence and I never had anything I didn't like.

The Oil Shoppe is extremely popular with study abroad students and with good reason. Here you can find any kind of sandwich you want... and they are all delicious. So if you need a break from traditional Italian panini, check this place out!

Best place for sandwiches... even turkey! Filled with study abroad students but well worth a visit as it is ten minutes walk from the Duomo and the crowds.
