Intimidating mood lighting »

3.0 Stars

We stumbled upon this place as it was in close proximity to where we were staying and we saw a hot babe walked in. We took two steps in and turned around immediately. The intimate mood lighting and fairly empty interior were rather intimidating, not letting us fade into the background to spy discretely...
But we grew some balls, went back in and once we realized the boy had his eye on someone else, we used this opportunity to get our game plan set for the rest of the night.
So I guess it's a decent night starter at the very least. Free chips, at best.
Nothing much else to it as far as I can tell.

Sucker for Peanuts »

5.0 Stars

Adding white tablecloths to an otherwise no frills bar has all the potential in the world to look reaaal tacky. But in the Lone Palm they make all the difference. This dimly lit spot maintains the moderate prices and laid-back vibe of any Mission bar, but has the added bonus of ample seating space in a lounge atmosphere. They even provide free peanuts (sometimes Sunchips!!!) in glass bowls on tables. Sold.
