We’ve all heard of Belgian chocolate, blah, blah, blah. But Temmerman lets you in on what Belgians really like: weird tasting sugar candy. The most famous seem to be the neuzeke (little noses) of cuberdon, which are sugary cones filled with syrup. They also have hard candy coated in powdered sugar, some fluffy pink stuff and salmiak, licorice candy that tastes like ammonia. It’s amazing; everything in the store looks fascinating and delicious, yet tastes awful. A real good trick to play on your friends.
