i took a drive around stanley park, and basically you have to pay for parking everywhere there is a parking spot. so you could cheat the city and take little quick runs out to the beach and hope that a parking ticket dude doesn't find your car, and you could go for a run around the park. the run is probably the better option since it isn't that big of a place, you could soak in the scenery for a longer time, and a drive would be too quick.
but the place is nice, and it's a good place to relax outside of the city life in vancouver. check out the girl in the wetsuit statue, and prospect point!
if you follow the beach ave, that goes along the coast of downtown, you'll eventually get to stanley park.

Nice park. 5.5 miles of walking along the sea wall. There are concerts, totem poles, food. Good family outing.
