A drunken garden of Eden »

If you want a taste of authentic Montpellier nightlife, don't head for the many chi-chi bars, but wander over to this lovely park on a summer evening, where a sort of alcohol-and-cannabis-induced-nouveau-eden is recreated by the city's young population: playing games and guitars, performing acrobatics, singing, drinking and generally having a good time - until the police, occasionally, come along. During the day these lovely landscaped gardens also offer beautiful views over the surrounding area.
