Hands-on fun

I’m not particularly interested in science...or industry…but this museum is quite possibly my favorite museum ever. Here you can take a trip down a coal mine, walk down a turn-of-the-century street, learn how toys are made, play with robots, sit in a zephyr, a submarine, or a 727 jet, watch an IMAX movie, see slices of a human body, and watch baby chicks hatch, amongst other things. From now until September 27th, they have a temporary Harry Potter exhibit that houses tons of props and costumes from the movies. This museum is great, and I have been known to go here just to buy some freeze-dried astronaut ice cream. A+ in my book.
