On a street of chocolate stores, where's the best place to start? How about Mamuschka, where the only thing Russian is the decor (apparently the owner really likes those nesting dolls). Get over the fluorescent lighting and pick your own box, being sure to include their booze-filled chocolates, which can surely get you drunk. Throw in a couple of their chocolate covered cherries, which float in brandy while encased in dark chocolate and require careful consumption since they've still got their pits. There's a cafe for--you guessed it--hot chocolate and other warm drinks. Even though their candies and design scheme are great, it gets like a madhouse in there at times. I don't want to pick a number to buy chocolate, so that's why this place isn't my favorite in town.
