Live On The Levee. Downtown.

In July, weekends in St. Louis get a bit more exciting as the area around the Gateway Arch hosts a series of free concerts. And we’re not just talking about local teen bands or anything like that. This summer, Live on the Levee is featuring names like Sonic Youth and Little Feat, to name a couple. There are also a bunch of food and drink vendors that sprout up around the stage (but do you really want to pay $7 for a bottle of beer?) The best part of it all is the nightly firework display right above the arch. Very romantic. Live on the Levee is pretty cool, but a bit small for my liking and not a place that you can spend hours on end.
