Excellent cocoa and Dutch Scrabble. »

La Tertulia is a surprisingly bright coffeeshop on a corner next to a canal. They've got a great menu of baked goods and smokables, and the best part is you feel like you're part of the family when you learn that a mother and daughter are running the business. It's a relaxing enough environment that you don't feel you have to keep buying a soda to stay there. You can perch upstairs at a red metal table or downstairs in a cozy corner. They are even kind enough to have a collection of board games for use. I recommend attempting to play Scrabble in Dutch.
