Flamingo Bowl. Downtown.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a pizza and some beer, so I can’t speak for the night-time scene, but it had a pretty good vibe during the day. The bowling was swanky- huge, comfy couches to sit on and flat-screen TVs at the end of each lane- yet games were only about $4 each. The art-deco and flamingo décor gave it a kind of old Hollywood feel that I liked, too. Overall, it was a nice little place. Next time, I’ll have to check it out after dark.

in my 20 hour trip to st. louis, this was the absolute coolest thing that happened. bowled my highest game ever at about 2 in the afternoon by myself. then met the only other person in the joint and we shared some drinks and had a time before i got on a plane to my next glamorous destination. i must bowl here again.
