Diamonds Coffee Shoppe. Northeast.

Motorcycle friendly. I rode by on a Saturday morning last summer and noticed about 40 bikes out front, so I stopped. Lots of vintage stuff, and some really nice guys milling around on the sidewalk, talking bikes. Super friendly crowd. I made new friends that day, and I've grown to love this coffee shop!

Inside, there are a bunch of different rooms in this old warehouse space. Comfy couches in the back, and plenty of places to set up for the free wi-fi. The coffee is unbelievable...coffee is the one thing I'm passionate about, and this place has the best I've had since I was on that bullet train in Germany...

The food is a all made to order and fresh. They make their soups from scratch, and it's different every day.

The staff is great! They knew me by name after I'd been in a couple of times - but maybe it was because I'd made friends with the biker regulars who hang there.

All in all, for my money, this is the best coffee shop in NE!

Diamonds Coffee Shoppe boasts a decor that is a mix of vintage kitsch and 11 year old boy, with 50's style atomic art adorning the walls and Captain Kirk action figures on the tabletops. At first glance, the cafe seems tiny, when in fact it is a five room labyrinth with a variety of seating options, from table to counter to couch, not to mention outdoor picnic tables, where you can watch the traffic on Central Avenue go by.

The cafe serves coffee and tea as well as breakfast burritos, salads, grilled sandwiches and sweets. Wifi is free, and so is intellectual conversation

Diamonds Coffee Shoppe is a popular gathering place for bikers as well as a sort of social mecca for young people. The hours are 6am-10pm Monday through Friday, 7am-10pm on Saturday and 9am-9pm on Sunday. Located in the historic Thorpe building, Diamonds Coffee--"Your Atomic Coffee Shop"--can't miss.
