Cargo has easily the coolest smoking terrace I've ever seen. Planted so lushly it resembles a jungle more than the East End, albeit with a few games tables thrown in for good measure. You could easily spend a night chilling (literally, in winter) out here, but then you'd be missing out on one of the best clubs in Shoreditch. With frequent free nights, some fantastic music (electronica, breaks, dubstep, etc), as well as gigs and a relaxed bar area, housed in spectacular railway arches, Cargo is a brilliant venue. The crowd is more ecclectic than many places in the area - for better or worse - too. Oh and it's a café with food sometimes as well.

Cargo has some of the best music line-ups around, covering everything from hip hop and breakbeats to electro and house. Sets are usually followed by a DJ and dancing, and if you need a break from it all, there's a cute courtyard where you can sit back and enjoy a beer and some of Cargo's own street food.
