I was in Iceland during like seriously freezing times, and was pretty thrilled with how not crowded The Blue Lagoon was then. It is like going in nature's incredible hot tub (that might sound more underwhelming than it actually is). It's definitely worth checking out. When I was there, there was some sort of deal where you could get there by way of the Flybus for no extra charge, or maybe a minimal extra charge. So look for deals on getting there, coz I'm pretty sure they exist.
I hear it turns into a mad house when there's more tourists, so prepare yourself accordingly.
