Bitterzoet (that's uh, Bittersweet in English) is a pretty great club that's actually frequented by more Dutch and European folks than it is by backpackers. For 7,50 you can get into the best night in town for soul/funk/hip-hop aficionados: STRUTTIN: a place where the DJs actually only spin records, and good ones at that...45s of deep funk. It's every third Friday and you can't miss it. Check their Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/struttinamsterdam) to find out who's spinning when you're there and listen to some of their DJ's mixes.
