Surviving, though not physically, several moves due to fires and high rents, the 40 Watt has remained a staple, not just in Athens, but rather in American Music altogether.
Known for nurturing the careers of underground acts like REM and Pylon, and continues with the tradition hosting shows from Athens locals like Circulatory System, Elf Power, and of Montreal.
The venue has a large stage, a huge dance floor, and two bars.
