One of the best surfing beaches around Newcastle and home to the best whale watching platform anywhere. You can sit atop the cliff which faces south and watch the whales cruise by on their migration north. The locals are friendly, if you show respect and we often have dolphins in the line up too.

Description:

9 Miles of beach which starts at the Redhead Cliff to the north and ends at the breakwall at Blacksmiths to the south. Plenty of waves to choose from and good fishing too.
